Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Ph.D. students at Stanford, working on the Stanford Digital Library Project (SDLP) were the actual founders of Google.com, Google started its journey in 1996 by the help of these two genius Stanford students. As we already said, Google search engine was a project of these two bright students, at that time Google was only used in Stanford search engine with google.stanford.edu domain name. Google had about sixty million pages indexed by the end of 1998, so it was very obvious that, Google was going to be one of the most glorious search engines in the history. According to wikipedia:
“The domain google.com was registered on September 15, 1997. They formally incorporated their company, Google Inc., on September 4, 1998 at a friend’s garage in Menlo Park, California.”

Andy Bechtolsheim, co-founder of Sun Microsystems was the first donor/sponsor of Google and he had given $100000 fund to Google at 1998.Eric Schmidt was the first CEO of Google.com and this famous search engine went to public offering in 2004. Google had made a history in SEC as Google earned market capitalization of more than $23 billion by offering 19,605,052 shares at a price of $85 per share. Yahoo!, one of the most tough competitor of Google, also benefited from the IPO because Yahoo owns 2.7 million shares of Google!

Present days, Google is the number 1 search engine in global world. No other search engines are as much favorite as Google. Millions to billions surfers regularly search in Google everyday! It is really a record for any search engines.
